Training women to be submissive wives and daughters-in-law

One of the most popular song by Kishor Kumar was " Jaroorat hai Jaroorat hai Ek Shrimati ki, Kalawati ki, Sewa kare Jo pati ki". It seems this school is fulfilling this need with zeal! It is ironic but true that Indian scenario hasn't changed when it comes to girl's marriage. Even educated families and people from urban area also have similar mentality. If daughter is not getting married by 25-27, parents start getting worried, even though she may be working, career oriented girl!

The Dark Side of Development

Your post raises a question: Is adoption of Globalisation and Liberlisation policies destroying developing countries?
How other developed countries, mostly West Europian and USA  successfully achieved that?

A careful analysis will bring the reasons for our failures (China and India) and their success. Somewhere it boils down to Politicians and Bureaucrats.

Fight To Be Tribal

For so many years people fought (including ambedkar) to overcome untouchableness of manu wadi. Irony is today people from even upper castes want to be considered as belong to dalit class! Belonging to backward class (identified by govt.) is became easy way to improve economic condition and political class is using this attitude of people to maximise thier power and votes. This is sad state of affairs, but seems to be gone out of control as most of the parties at some time is using some caste cards.
